Horyzon foundation
The Horyzon organisation became „Horyzon Foundation“ on 1.1.2009, in accordance to Art. 80ff ZGB. Headquarters and jurisdiction is in Olten. The foundation‘s duration is unlimited.
It is a non-profit making organisation.

Business operations are primarily taken care of by the business manager and qualified program
coordinators, based on clear strategies and an efficient administrative structure, experience, social and working competence and a high quality awareness.
The organisation satisfies the increasing requirements in regard to aid and development cooperation with transparancy, quality and efficiency. Its practical infrastructure and suitable working practices are in place to ensure that its resources are efficiently deployed.

Certification enables us to achieve these goals:
- The beneficiaries and partners in southern and eastern parts of the world profit from professional assistance. This optimises long-term effects (sustainability, outcomes).
- Financial resources are used effectively because of efficient administrative procedures and infrastructure.
- Acceptance and reputation in regard to benefactors and government have been improved – fundraising is efficient.
- The environment is better protected due to an ecologically favourable mindset and saved resources.
- Horyzon has been changed from an organisation to a foundation to match increasing international requirements.
Horyzon is one of the most advanced aid organisations in Switzerland and, as an internationally recognised organisation, is well prepared for future demands and requirements. Horyzon uses external supervisors for these processes and following audits.
