Horyzon – Our mission

The distance between rich and poor is increasing. Too many people must live inhuman lives. Too many are born impoverished. Young people suffer greatly – growing up in a world without a future. They need our solidarity and support because we all live in the same world.  

Horyzon development projects strive to give these people a lift worth living. As a youth organisation, Horyzon concentrates its operations on the needs of young people and has the following aims: 

• To support self-help and independence
• To strengthen self confidence in young people – especially women
• To eliminate ostracization
• To enable young people to stand up for their rights and accept responsibility
• To support groups that have democratic principles

We believe in a better world – and in young people. A huge potential of creative energy lies within. Horyzon is committed to releasing this energy and helping young people to fully realize their potential so they can actively control their own futures. With Horyzons help they can move on to new horizons.
