Annual Report 2018 - the most important facts

Colombia:

With our programme "Paza La Paz" by Horyzon and YMCA Colombia, 1596 young people from the lowest social strata were reached last year. In about 80 course hours, the young people learned essential aspects for a better future from the three areas of "peaceful coexistence", "democratic participation" and "entrepreneurship".

Palestine:

The rehabilitation programme of YMCA East Jerusalem and Horyzon supported 579 children and young people with physical or mental disabilities.

Haiti:

The Youth Center was visited last year by 195 girls from Monday to Friday, where professional psychological care is offered. They also received extra tuition and training in hygiene, sexuality, violence prevention, law and the environment. The girls also had access to a warm meal every day. The Leadership Academy engaged 273 young women around the topics of free, self-determined decisions, role models and leadership, sexual-, health- and human rights.

Bangladesh:

YWCA Bangladesh and Horyzon's health and neighbourhood development programme supported 39,815 women and their families at 13 locations. Direct support was provided in the areas of health, education, women's rights and income generation.
