On Saturday, 15 June 2019 we celebrated our 50th anniversary in the Horyzon office in Olten. It was a very successful occasion and we were able to welcome numerous guests.
More than 50 people found their way to the beautiful Flörli on Saturday for the main event of the anniversary year of Horyzon. They were excited when we presented the Horyzon Foundation and gave a review of the last 50 years. With the film "Matar a Jesús" we showed exemplarily how the situation of the young people is in our project countries and afterwards we had an interesting panel discussion with Tanja Vultier, human rights observer of Peace Brigades International, Bruno Essig, programme manager Colombia at Horyzon, and the audience. Susanne Schaffner, Councillor of the Canton of Solothurn, and Martin Wey, Mayor of Olten, were in the "Flörli" and congratulated on the anniversary. We were delighted that the delegates of the CEVI also joined us after their meeting and celebrated the anniversary with us. It was a great occasion and we are very happy that we were able to celebrate the anniversary with so many guests.
All those who would like to celebrate the jubilee with us are invited to Bern on 19 September 2019. We will also show the film "Matar a Jesús" and then discuss with guests and the audience.
