The Horyzon project "Espace Sûr" in Pétion-Ville, a suburb of Port-au-Prince, offers girls and young women a safe place where they can meet, exchange and learn from each other. This includes the "Summercamp", in which all-day leisure activities are offered over several weeks during the summer vacations. This summer, the "Summercamp" took place for the 10th time. Under the motto "Ann Vole Al Jwenn Objektif Nou" ("Envolons nous vers nos objectifs" - "Let's fly towards our goals"), a total of around 150 girls and young women aged 5 to 18 took part. During three weeks, they were able to attend different workshops every day and learned ways to strengthen their well-being and self-esteem. They also had the opportunity to discover their artistic skills in drawing and painting studios or in crochet and jewelry-making classes. The obstacle courses and water activities were also very popular among the young women.
