Heavy monsoon- many people killed in landslide in Bangladesh

Bad consequences of the monsoon season in South Asia: Many inhabitants are buried in Bangladesh by the mud. Remote villages are cut off from the outside world.

After heavy rainstorms 137 people have died in Bangladesh as a result of landslides. The number of victims will presumably increase, since many areas are cut off from the outside world, the police said. Rescue teams were still looking for many missing persons. The recent monsoon rains came only two weeks after typhoon Mora, which caused great damage to the coastal region. At least eight people were killed.

Horyzon's projects in Bangladesh are not directly affected by the disaster.
